ОТ РОССИИ УБЕЖАЛИ, ДО ЕВРОПЫ НЕ ДОБЕЖАЛИ
Заявлениям премьер-министра Армении Никола Пашиняна о том, что он поведет Армению по европейскому пути, уже никто не верит. Об этом в соцсетях написал экс-министр иностранных дел Армении Вардан Осканян.
По его мнению, во внешней политике Пашинян старается не защищать национальные интересы, а извлекать политические дивиденды внутри страны, выступая с резкими и неосторожными политическими манифестами. Вместо сбалансированной внешней политики он объявил, что поведет Армению в Европу. Но если несколько лет назад таким поверхностным программам еще кто-то верил, то теперь очевидно, что Армения не приблизилась к Европе ни на шаг — вместо этого республика стала ареной геополитической борьбы.
Выиграть от этого могут только власти страны, которые добиваются, чтобы Европа закрывала глаза на её антидемократические шаги. Но простые граждане РА уже понимают, что Армения сушественно ослабила свою систему безопасности, понесла огромные потери, не получив взамен ничего, написал Осканян.
"Даже в таком бытовом вопросе, как визовая либерализация, эти власти не смогли получить какого-либо результата от европейских чиновников", — заявил Осканян.
Армении нужны прочные связи с Евросоюзом, но единственное "европейское", что есть в действиях армянских властей — лишь антироссийская направленность, за которую будут расплачиваться рядовые граждане РА, ни на миллиметр не приблизив Армению к Европе ни в содержательном, ни в ценностном смысле, добавил он.
В этом контексте саммит Европейского политического сообщества со своей повесткой дня, принимаемыми заявлениями и присутствием таких одиозных деятелей, как армянофоб Владимир Зеленский, может еще больше подчеркнуть несбалансированность внешней политики Армении, усиливая обеспокоенность по поводу негативных последствий такого процесса для экономики и безопасности, говорится в заявлении экс-главы МИД. Соответственно электорат должен задуматься о влиянии предстоящих выборов на безопасность и экономическую жизнеспособность Армении.
На саммите Европейского политического сообщества в Ереване, на который прибыли первые лица многих европейских государств, нет даже писка осуждения этнической чистки в Арцахе (Нагорном Карабахе), даже простого упоминания об этом преступлении! А ведь данный вопрос волнует весь армянский народ — от Австралии до США, от ЮАР до Европы...

Европейское участие должно оставаться строго нейтральным: заявление армянских общин Европы
В преддверии саммита Европейского политического сообщества в Ереване представители армянских общин Европы выступили с заявлением, в котором выразили обеспокоенность относительно целостности демократической среды в Армении в период накануне парламентских выборов.
Касаясь европейской вовлеченности, авторы заявления отметили, что она должна оставаться строго нейтральной и "любое восприятие того, что внешние акторы отдают предпочтение той или иной политической силе может нанести ущерб как доверию к избирательному процессу, так и репутации европейских партнеров".
В заявлении особо подчёркнуто, что выборы не могут проводиться под тенью угроз: "Мы обеспокоены циркулирующими нарративами о возможности нового конфликта в регионе. Мы призываем Азербайджан воздерживаться от риторики или действий, которые могут быть истолкованы как угроза или принуждение, включая попытки связать региональную стабильность с результатами демократических процессов в Армении. Выборы должны проходить без давления, страха или тени угрозы эскалации".
При этом авторы заявления отметили, что права армян Арцаха (Карабаха) не должны игнорироваться: "Права армян, насильственно перемещенных из Нагорного Карабаха, остаются ключевым вопросом. Устойчивый мир должен включать уважение основополагающих прав человека, в том числе достоинство, безопасность и право на возвращение в соответствии с международным правом. Гуманитарные вопросы не должны отодвигаться на второй план из-за геополитических соображений".

According to the former Armenian Foreign Minister, Pashinyan makes harsh statements in foreign policy that do not bring Armenia closer to Europe, but distance it from Russia. And the most interesting thing is that at the summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan, there is not even a squeak of condemnation of ethnic cleansing in Artsakh (Karabakh), not even a simple mention of this crime! But this issue is of concern to the entire Armenian people — from Australia to the USA, from South Africa to Europe...
No one believes Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements that he will lead Armenia along the European path. Former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian wrote about this on social media. In his opinion, in foreign policy, Pashinyan tries not to protect national interests, but to extract political dividends inside the country by making harsh and careless political manifestos. Instead of a balanced foreign policy, he announced that he would lead Armenia to Europe. But if someone else believed such superficial programs a few years ago, it is now obvious that Armenia has not moved a single step closer to Europe - instead, the republic has become an arena of geopolitical struggle. Only the country's authorities, who want Europe to turn a blind eye to its anti-democratic steps, can benefit from this. But ordinary citizens of Armenia already understand that Armenia has significantly weakened its security system, suffered huge losses, and received nothing in return, Oskanian wrote. "Even in such a domestic issue as visa liberalization, these authorities have not been able to get any results from European officials," Oskanian said.
Armenia needs strong ties with the European Union, but the only "European" thing in the actions of the Armenian authorities is an anti—Russian orientation, for which ordinary citizens of Armenia will pay, without bringing Armenia a millimeter closer to Europe, either in a substantive or in a value sense, he added. In this context, the summit of the European Political Community, with its agenda, adopted statements, and the presence of such odious figures as the Armenophobic Vladimir Zelensky, can further emphasize Armenia's unbalanced foreign policy, increasing concern about the negative consequences of such a process for the economy and security, the former foreign minister said in a statement. Accordingly, the electorate should reflect on the impact of the upcoming elections in a month on Armenia's security and economic viability. Statement by Representatives of Armenian Communities Across Europe
Ahead of the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan (4 May 2026)
Brussels, 29th of April 2026
We, the undersigned representatives of Armenian communities from across Europe, issue this statement ahead of the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan to raise concerns about the integrity of Armenia’s democratic environment in the run-up to the parliamentary elections on 7 June 2026.
Democracy Must Be Protected Before, Not Only On, Election Day
Armenia is approaching a decisive electoral moment. Yet current conditions raise concerns about public confidence in the process. A highly polarized political environment, uneven conditions for political competition, and questions surrounding the broader pre-electoral framework risk undermining trust. Free and fair elections are not defined solely by what happens on election day. They depend on the integrity of the entire process—equal access to media, fair competition, and the full protection of fundamental freedoms.
European Engagement Must Remain Strictly Neutral
We recognize the European Union’s role in supporting democratic resilience in Armenia, including efforts to counter disinformation. However, this support must remain strictly neutral. Any perception that external actors are favoring one political force over another—whether accurate or not—can damage both the credibility of the electoral process and the standing of European partners. Well-intentioned engagement must not unintentionally blur the line between support and interference.
Elections Cannot Take Place Under the Shadow of Threats
We are concerned by narratives suggesting the possibility of renewed conflict in the region. We call on Azerbaijan to refrain from rhetoric or actions that could be interpreted as threats or coercion, including attempts to link regional stability to the outcome of Armenia’s democratic process. Elections must take place free from pressure, intimidation, or the shadow of escalation.
The Rights of Armenians from Artsakh Must Not Be Overlooked
The rights of Armenians forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh remain a central issue. A sustainable peace must include respect for fundamental human rights, including dignity, security, and, where applicable, the right of return in accordance with international law. Humanitarian concerns must not be sidelined by geopolitical considerations.
A Moment of Responsibility
We call on all actors—within Armenia and internationally—to act responsibly and in full respect of democratic principles. These elections are not only a national milestone. They are also a test of democratic credibility that resonates across Armenian communities in Europe and beyond.
Conclusion
Armenia’s electoral process must be protected from both internal distortions and external pressures. A credible, transparent, and genuinely competitive election is essential—not only for Armenia’s democratic future, but for stability in the wider region. We stand ready to support efforts that uphold these principles.
